Post-Call Brief · Vita-Fem

Your funnel doesn't have a traffic problem.
It has a conversion problem.

Dr. Sarah, here's what I saw inside your ad account, why the current playbook will keep losing, and exactly how ECG fixes it. Built for you so you can compare apples to apples.

01 · What I heard on our call

The situation, in your own words.

You've done world-class work on the science. The marketing partners haven't matched the rigor. Sixty days in, the spend keeps going out and nothing's coming back.

01 / THE PIVOT

Amazon and TikTok broke your spirit.

November launch. Vine reviewers crushed you on taste (predictable for a 100 percent plant-based stick pack). You pulled back from Amazon and TikTok and refocused entirely on Shopify starting March 1.

02 / THE CURRENT TEAM

60 days. $1K per month. Zero sales.

You brought on an ads team in March. Four to five creatives live. About 40 video creatives produced over two months. None have generated a single attributed sale through Meta.

03 / THE CATEGORY

Menopause supplement category is on fire.

CPCs jumped from roughly $3 to $5 or $6 while you were in manufacturing. Competitive, but absolutely workable with the right creative strategy. The category isn't the problem.

04 / THE PROPOSED "FIX"

Their solution: target Florida.

Your current team's plan is to "focus regionally on Florida, it's health conscious." That's a 2018 algorithm trick. It will not solve a conversion problem. Targeting is not what's broken.

"I'm the scientist. I don't have the bandwidth for this."
02 · The diagnosis

We watched the funnel together. Here's where it breaks.

Top of funnel works. Bottom of funnel collapses. That isn't a budget problem, a region problem, or a learning-phase problem. It's a creative and messaging problem.

Audience and Targeting

Meta is showing your ads to the right women. The signal is clean.

This is the breakpoint. They click. The creative doesn't convince them Vita-Fem is the answer.

The verdict
You can target Floridians until the cows come home. If the ad doesn't make a perimenopausal woman believe Vita-Fem is the no-brainer solution to a problem she's desperate to solve, she will not buy. The problem is message, not map.

03 · I went and pulled your ads

Four videos. One static. No testing loop.

After our call I scraped your Meta Ad Library so I could verify the diagnosis against the actual creatives. Here is every ad currently running, plus my honest read on each.

Exhibit A · "Balance Your Hormones"
The "stubborn middle" video.
"Struggling with stubborn 'middle' weight that won't budge?"
ECG Read
  • This is the exact video I referenced on our call. 66 seconds is too long to isolate which variable is failing.
  • Hook works (weight is a high-urgency pain), but the script pivots into ingredient education (ashwagandha, maca) before establishing problem severity.
  • "Learn more" CTA routes to a quiz, not the product. You are adding a step before purchase intent is hot.
VIDEO · 59 SEC
▶ Video · 59s Live since Apr 3
Exhibit B · "Restore Your Calm"
The mood angle.
"Snapping at people lately? Crying out of nowhere?"
ECG Read
  • Strong hook. Speaks to a real identity-level pain (feeling out of control of your own emotions).
  • The reassurance "nothing is wrong with you" is good empathy, but the bridge to product (adaptogens, nervous system) lacks the "no-brainer solution" feeling we need.
  • Worth testing as static-format hook variations (image + headline only) before burning more video budget.
STATIC · DCO CAROUSEL
▢ Static · DCO Carousel Live since Apr 3
Exhibit C · "Simple Daily Support"
The lone static asset.
"Your hormones changed. You don't have to lose yourself."
ECG Read
  • This is the only static creative in the account. Good. The problem is that one static against four videos is not a static-first testing framework, it is a token static.
  • Card body is overloaded: clinical jargon (cortisol balance, hormonal stability), three emojis, four em-dashes in a single paragraph. The message is doing five jobs at once instead of isolating one.
  • Delivered as a 2-card DCO carousel where both cards are identical. That defeats the purpose of carousel format. Either make the cards work as a sequence or run it as a single image.
VIDEO · 56 SEC
▶ Video · 56s Live since Apr 27
Exhibit D · "Start Feeling Better"
The founder reveal.
"Does something feel 'off' but your doctor says you are fine? You might be in perimenopause."
ECG Read
  • Founder-led with your credentials is the strongest play your team has running. It separates you from generic supplement noise.
  • The "doctor dismissed me" pain is real, urgent, and earned. This positioning belongs at the center of your strategy, not buried as one of five.
  • Still video-first. We need to test this exact angle in static format to learn which sentence in the script is doing the work.
VIDEO · 51 SEC
▶ Video · 51s Live since Apr 27
Exhibit E · "Get Answers Now"
The free consultation offer.
"Tired of doctors who don't actually listen to your symptoms? My Vita-Fem supplement comes with a free hormone consultation."
ECG Read
  • Strongest offer in the account. A free consultation with the founder MD is rare in the supplement space and is a genuine moat.
  • This offer is buried as one of five competing ads. It deserves its own dedicated test funnel, not equal share of voice.
  • All five ads route to a /pages/quiz funnel. For warmed-up consultation-offer traffic, a direct opt-in landing page would likely outconvert the quiz.
The pattern
Five hooks. Four videos. One static buried inside a DCO carousel. No isolation, no learning loop, no way to know which sentence is winning. The founder angle (Exhibit D) and the free consultation offer (Exhibit E) are objectively strong and should be the spine of the account. Right now they are competing with three weaker variants for your $1K monthly spend.

Targeting Florida because Florida is health conscious is shuffling food on your plate to make it look like you ate dinner.

DANIEL EHRLICH · ECG · ON THE CALL
04 · Old playbook vs. ECG

Lazy levers vs. rolling up the sleeves.

This is the honest contrast between the playbook you're on and the one that actually moves Meta ROAS in 2026.

The current playbook

Activity that looks like progress.

  • Clone competitor videos verbatim, without their social proof or brand context.
  • Forty plus video creatives in 60 days, all video-first, none informed by what actually resonates.
  • "Try Florida." A targeting trick used to dodge a creative diagnosis.
  • Blame the learning phase instead of confronting the creative problem.
  • No structured testing framework. No system for finding what works.
The ECG approach

Roll up the sleeves. Find the real winners.

  • Static-ad creative testing first. Isolate one variable at a time: hook, problem, offer, positioning.
  • Feed proven static learnings into video scripts that actually convert.
  • Broad audience, creative-led targeting. The Andromeda-era playbook.
  • Position Vita-Fem as the no-brainer solution to a desperate, identity-level problem.
  • The Playground™, our proprietary testing framework, grades assets on leading indicators before dollars are wasted.
05 · The method

Static first. Then video. Then scale.

A static ad isolates one variable. You can't extract that learning from a 60-second video where ten things are happening at once. Order matters.

/ 01

Diagnose and define

Audit the account. Map the audience's real language and pain points. Build the message-testing matrix that becomes the creative brief.

/ 02

Static testing

Test hooks, problem-agitation angles, and solution frames as static ads. Fast, cheap, isolatable. We find the winners before we shoot a single video.

/ 03

Scale with video

Build video scripts off proven static learnings. Scale the formats that produce ROAS. Kill the ones that don't. Repeat the loop.

06 · Why ECG

We're not new at this. Here's the receipt.

ECG is an award-winning DTC growth agency built around proprietary tech: AdSignal™ (forecasts CPM movement), BIGBrain™ (24/7 ML optimization), and The Playground™ (algorithmic testing framework).
